A Fight That Defied Expectations! 🔥
Pre-fight predictions suggested that scorecards wouldn’t even be necessary, with many analysts expecting a knockout — especially from the powerful Bakole. But both warriors proved the critics wrong! 🙅♂️
Fans were anticipating a sensational KO from Bakole, but once again, he delivered a surprise… and not necessarily a pleasant one. His most impressive recent performance had been against Jared Anderson, where he looked sharp despite weighing in at 284.5 lbs (129 kg).
Bakole Weight Details
- Against Joseph Parker, Bakole weighed 315 lbs (143 kg).
- Last weekend, he came in at a whopping 299 lbs (135.6 kg) — still extremely heavy! 😳
Wearing a Big George Foreman T-shirt to the ring, Bakole embraced comparisons to the legendary slugger — but sadly, he became a major disappointment. His trainer Billy Nelson was stunned by the weight, stating:
“He looked great in camp. I was so confident he’d be 35 lbs lighter than in the Parker fight, I didn’t even weigh him.” 😤
Nelson should have taken better control of his fighter — especially after such an early KO in his last fight. In this game, regret is a useless currency.
Ajagba’s Stunning Evolution! 🧠💨
Bakole started cautiously, likely conserving energy early on. In Round 3, he even got rocked by a sharp attack from Ajagba. 😵
Meanwhile, Efe “The Silent Killer” Ajagba (20-1-1, 14 KOs) showed incredible improvement! He used the ring beautifully, and at times, his footwork was reminiscent of Muhammad Ali! 💃🥊 He landed clean shots from a distance, frustrating the sluggish Bakole.

Bakole hesitated to take risks in the early rounds, giving Ajagba the chance to rack up points on the judges’ scorecards. In Round 6, Bakole finally turned up the pressure, but Ajagba fought brilliantly on the back foot, using short jabs and right hands effectively.
Bakole even tried to verbally provoke Ajagba in the later rounds — and asked the referee to intervene! But Ajagba was disciplined and stuck to his game plan, accumulating points with precision. 🎯
Bakole Woke Up Too Late ⏰
Martin Bakole (21-2-1, 16 KOs) only came alive in the second half of the fight. Had he started earlier, Ajagba might not have heard the final bell. By Round 7, Ajagba’s nose was bleeding heavily, a clear sign that Bakole’s late charge was taking effect. 🩸
And let’s not forget — Ajagba’s chin has always been questionable. Remember his 2019 fight against Iago Kiladze? Ajagba won by fifth-round TKO, but in Round 3, he was dropped hard by a looping right. That fall was anything but normal. 🤯
Bakole Becomes a Victim of Gluttony 🍔➡️💤
After his win over Jared Anderson, Bakole looked like a serious heavyweight threat. But last weekend, that threat vanished beneath layers of unnecessary weight. His feet grew heavier in the later rounds, and his stamina clearly suffered. 😞
If you’re a professional athlete, nutrition must be a priority. You simply can’t eat like a regular person and expect elite results. Sadly, Bakole seems addicted to overindulgence — and it’s costing him dearly.
Bakole vs Ajagba Ends in a Majority Draw! A Controversial
Ajagba Was Robbed? 🧾❌
From this writer’s perspective, Efe Ajagba clearly won the fight 96-94. His cleaner work, discipline, and ring IQ stood out. It feels like he was robbed of a deserved victory. 👎
A rematch between the two is now highly anticipated, and it might be the redemption arc one of them desperately needs… ❤️🔥
